Fresno Art Museum in California is a non-profit organization with the mission to educate and inspire through art. The Museum offers public programs and exhibitions that engage visitors of all ages, interests, and backgrounds with innovative experiences.The Fresno Art Museum is located at the corner of Van Ness Avenue and Mariposa Street in downtown Fresno, California. Its permanent collection includes works by artists such as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollack among others.  The site was originally built in 1872 as an elementary schoolhouse where it remained until 1961 when it became part of Fresno City College. In 1972, the building was renovated and reopened as the Fresno Art Museum with a small exhibition of works by local artists. Today, the museum has more than 12,000 square feet of exhibit space across three galleries including the Main Gallery, which is 27-feet high and 65-feet wide.
